Kidnapping for Robbery

Client, who was on active parole, was charged with kidnapping for purposes of committing a robbery, residential burglary, residential robbery and other charges, and was facing a potential life sentence. Chambers & Ball filed a motion to have the life charge dismissed for various legal defects and attacked forensic evidence the prosecutor sought to use against the client. Through extensive negotiation, Chambers & Ball was able to work out an agreement pursuant to which the client will serve approximately 2 years in custody rather than a life sentence.
