Kidnapping for Robbery

Client, who was on active parole, was charged with kidnapping for purposes of committing a robbery, residential burglary, residential robbery and other charges, and was facing a potential life sentence. Chambers Law Firm filed a motion to have the life charge dismissed for various legal defects and attacked forensic evidence the prosecutor sought to use against the client. Through extensive negotiation, Chambers Law Firm was able to work out an agreement pursuant to which the client will serve approximately 2 years in custody rather than a life sentence.
