The DMV accesses this information to determine when driver’s license reinstatement is feasible and reasonable. It may also show up on background checks that employers or anyone else conducts. There isn’t a way to remove a DUI from your DMV record after a conviction has been suffered.
Permanent criminal record

- You’ve fulfilled all the requirements of your sentence, including probation.
- Your sentence did not involve state prison (as opposed to jail time).
- You’re not currently facing any other criminal charges.
